The Great Lot Sportsman's Club Scholarship Award

The Great Lot Sportsman's Club Scholarship Program is designed to provide scholarships to qualified candidates pursuing a degree in an environmental course of study such as wildlife management, natural resource management, environmental law enforcement, environmental engineering, and other related fields.
ELIGIBILITY
1. Students should be graduating seniors with a minimum 3.0 on 4.0 scale or equivalent grade point average.
2. Students must be pursuing a degree at an accredited institution of higher education (i.e. Junior College, Community College, Technical College, College, or University).
3. Students must be enrolled as a full time student (at least 12 hours per semester).
4. Students must support the preservation of the fishing and hunting tradition and actively participate in these activities. A copy of a current fishing/hunting license is required.
APPLICATION PROCESS
An applicant must complete the application and include with it the following:
1. Two letters of recommendation must be attached to the application (i.e. teacher, counselor, community leader).
2. A one page essay explaining why this scholarship is desired and the personal dedication to the environment/conservation.
3. Transcripts.
SELECTION PROCESS
Scholarships will be awarded subject to appropriated funds to students selected by the Great Lot Sportsman's Club Board of Directors. The money must be used for tuition, books, fees, and/or housing. Applications must be returned by May 1st of each year in order to be considered by the committee. Winners will be notified by June 15th.
